Hard ruleDescription
2021 Burn Cottage Sauvage Vineyard Pinot Noir Bannockburn Macon Charnay It is an especially gracious It is an especially gracious translucent wine that stands apart stylistically from the typically richer wines that have been made here The bouquet recalls notes of pomegranate and wild strawberries that alternate with hints of broom I am (mostly) resisting hyperbole and adverbs here This is a standout wine from a superstar producer—an asset for the region and indeed the country (and the New World in general)
